Light Hall School

Working initially with the project architects and the local council Arkinstall were briefed to find a solution to provide in the region of 800 personal lockers for pupils.

A new built project led by main contractors Morgan Ashurst, the aim was to provide a bright and airy learning environment.

The lockers were to be inset within the open plan corridors on three floors and had to be incorporated into the overall design so as not to conflict with the easy movement of pupils between classrooms.

A number of options were available to us and samples were submitted of Hydraloc solid grade laminate lockers and bespoke Endurance lockers specially adapted with SGL doors.

The final design chosen by architect, council and the school was from our Venturi locker range.

These three tier timber based lockers were installed with a brushed aluminium laminated door, cam lock, Blum style hinges allowing the doors to open a full 180 degrees and inset number plates for easy identification.

We were also asked to supply 30 series benching to the kitchen staff changing room.

Our installation team spent just three days installing the lockers and the project was completed on time with a short lead time at the busiest time of our manufacturing year.
